Technical Assistance sub-contract “Improving Energy Efficiency in Buildings”

Reviewing the legal and regulatory framework on Energy Efficiency in Turkey and identification of gaps with the EU acquis on energy efficiency in buildings, energy efficiency and promotion of renewables;
Drafting recommendations to improve the legal and regulatory framework on EE in buildings in Turkey and to remove existing obstacles to the actual implementation of the system;
Elaboration of Directives Specific Implementation Plans and National Strategy Approximation Plan, given defining priorities for the implementation of recommended measures and contribute to the sustainable development of the country;
Drafting recommended amendments to the legislative and regulatory acts to align them with the EU acquis and ensure effective implementation of measures aimed at promoting the use of RES in buildings; enhancing the exemplary role of the public sector; introducing the Nearly Zero Energy Buildings strategy and so on.
